In The Five Dysfunctions of a Team Patrick Lencioni once again offers a leadership fable that is as enthralling and instructive as his first two best-selling books, The Five Temptations of a CEO and The Four Obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive. 5 stars

"Like Death by Meeting, this is a great read for leaders working in teams. The five disfunctions: absence of trust, inattention to results (ego over goals), fear of conflict, lack of commitment, avoidance of accountability.

Lencioni's story works well and even provides examples for facing changes within the team and allowing people to leave or moving them along if they can't adjust to working as a team.

It's clear throughout, but Lencioni's summation at the end reiterates the importance of recognizing how all five issues work interdependently. E.G. Trust is necessary to have meaningful conflict. Also, the meeting structures and suggestions come directly from the other book.

These two books compliment each other, and I recommend them highly."
