Vote, yes, but we're past that.

You need to be building up your mutual aid networks. You need to go out into your town and meet people and build up protections for each other.

If you dont know where to start, here are a few leads. Check out:
= Your library and see what groups meet there. Pick a couple and attend their meetings.
= Food pantries. Search for local food pantries and go volunteer. Talk to the other people volunteering.
= Your local NAACP group. Even if you're white, join. Meet people. They've gone through worse. Learn from them. Help out.

Once you meet people find out what other groups they are a part of. Most people join more than one group. Keep joining groups and meeting new people until you find the ones that you vibe the best with.

Make this your hobby for the next couple of …

I realized recently that
1. I'm about to install a little library in front of my house, and
2. I have a laser printer, which means my cost to print simple black and white booklets basically rounds down to 0$
So, uh, any interesting free-to-print (ideally black and white) out there that would be interesting to share with the general public? Especially those related to , community, , and similar subjects. Bonus points if they're in French

Ok, fuck this noise, it's Friday. I'm going to food distribution.

Not because I'm a good person.

Because I'm fucking angry.

I'm going to feed people for free without them proving to me that they deserve it because I fucking hate the price gouging at the grocery store. I fucking hate what SCOTUS is doing. I fucking hate our elected officials.

I feed others for free out of pure spite and malice.

Moore's Law is dead and we have reached a happy plateau. We dont need more computing power. We can do so much now. If you need something to chew on, work on making it more efficient. Make the code smaller and faster and lighter.

And less of a power draw.

A reminder that a better world is possible. Artist @coyotesnout may not have had in mind when creating this image, but I like to add hashtags to make projections more actionable. Solarpunk imagines radically better futures. It starts with building community.

Hey folks. Wanna play a fun game? Let's imagine our solar/hopepunk future together. I'm looking for specific ideas of what your life/community/neighbourhood would look like. We're talking near future, existing assets/infrastructure/technologies. And we're looking to fight climate change, oppression, inequality, and injustice.

Boosts welcome.

Reading through the most recent issue of "Solarpunk Magazine" and wanted to highlight how much I enjoyed the story "Once and Future Kilowatts" by @susankayequinn. One theme I really like in many stories is a reckoning with history and the need to remember the past as a ground to move forward. And the village in this story reminds me of communities where I grew up struggling with deindustrialization.
