A great introduction to the history of Japanese incense, Kōdō ceremony, how to use Japanese incense, and the philosophical and cultural underpinnings of the practice of making and appreciating incense. A worthwhile read for any incense lover, or any fragrance enthusiast interested in understanding the original mode of capturing and sharing fragrances, long before they could be bottled, through the perspective of what is perhaps the world's most venerated incense culture. #incense @incense@a.gup.pe

Here is an idea for offerings:
Find out which herbs or spices or resins are associated with your deity. Some books about deities feature such correspondences.
In case you are unsure what to use, you can also ask your deity or use divination methods to find out more.

Gather those ingredients and make an blend, dedicated specifically for your deity or deities. If you know how to do it and the herbs can be used this way, you could also create an incense bundle.

Of course, do not use any plants for this which are poisonous.

I have tried creating such incense blends for my deities. It took me some time to gather all the ingredients and such, but it was fun for me and now I burn the incense blends as offerings.😀
