Probably my favorite read this year. Absolutely incredible read. I hope this one is taught in schools one day. I need to come back to this if I ever have time. Just wow.

  2. Elise says:

Wasn't sure what to make of it at the time -I found what the book was trying to say about gender very puzzling- but it's stuck with me in an odd way, both for the way our cast of characters grow and develop, but also for the insight into the british mind.

    Elise says:

Probably my second favorite. Brilliant fantasy, but I can't overstate- Time War was earth-shattering. If I hadn't read a life changing book like that this year, this would probably be my favorite of the bunch.

    Elise says:

Very moody, surreal, atmospheric. The kind of dystopia that leaves you with more questions than answers.

  9. Elise says:

This book reminded me I can enjoy detective serials. Turns out I've only soured on them when they overly concern or center themselves on men.

  10. A Psalm for the Wild-Built by  (Monk and Robot, #1)

    4 stars

    Elise says:

Bit too short, bit too sweet. Worth the read regardless.
