An enjoyable enough fantasy romp stuffed to the brim with the usual fantasy tropes. What did end up annoying me though was the overuse of dei ex machina, which eventually nullified any suspense at the outcome of most situations.

A quick word of praise for the narrator of this Audible recording, who I felt did an excellent job.
