In a lot of ways, a difficult book. The prose is dense and largely composed of very intentional run-on sentences. That section? Around page 135? Very tough to get through.
But it's also a brilliant book; experimental and self-referential and packed with some of the most perfect metaphors I've ever encountered in literature. It's melancholy in a funny way, in a way that makes me think that it'll be transferred straight to the "literary fiction" shelf if it sells well, or gets made into a movie. Yet it's still so geeky and packed with fake science and science fictional references that maybe I'm wrong.
