What I like about Jane Austen is that despite writing over 200 years ago I feel I understand the characters, this retelling though... Who are these people? They are like a combination of "Absolutely Fabulous" and some British reality show.

(It's Greta Garbo in the pic, not me) I read a lot of cozies because I want to write one. I like history and historicals. Gardening... Will try to get better at just mention what I liked about a book and not complain too much.

On the cover it says it's a nail-biter, it is not. My mom liked these books and read all of them... I don't know what it was about them that she liked, we didn't always agree on things.
Also, no spoilers but I was on the killer's side. I would have done the same and I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!

Pallas // Pick Poppies reviewed Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
Review of 'Norse Mythology' on 'Goodreads'
I never cared about our mythology or really read anything about it. I remember a quick chat in school about Tor and Odin but that's it. Yet I felt like I knew a lot about these stories. Things came to me when I read them. Where did I learn this?
A never ending winter and an army of the dead? Someone else has read these stories... also, winter is coming.

There's a lot of alcohol in this book...
I listened to this as an audiobook and... the poor narrator tried her best I'm sure to do a "Scandinavian" accent but there was nothing Scandinavian about it, it sounded more like The Swedish Chief and it was a little annoying.
Review of 'Whose Body? (Lord Peter Wimsey, #1)' on 'Goodreads'
I have a hard time to put away a book I don’t like, to stop reading it feels like admitting defeat. I know that I won’t finish it but I won’t admit it and I try to read, for months, and then I give it up.
We were watching a quiz show my dad and I and he got the question “Who wrote the books about Lord Peter Wimsey?” right and I was pretty impressed by that. Dad said he knew because grandma used to read them. So I wanted to read these books, but I won’t because the first one was putting me to sleep. I would love to have a cup of tea with my grandma and ask her what it is about the books that she likes, maybe she could convince me to give it another try? I wish I had known my grandma better, I wish …

I wish I had known my grandma better, I wish she was still around. I think I would have appreciated her more now when I’m older.
