Frank Burns reviewed Moon over Soho by Ben Aaronovitch
Review of 'Moon over Soho' on 'Goodreads'
5 stars
The re-read continues. I will be hitting the comics and novellas too along the timeline from media.titan-comics.com/uploads/roltimeline.pdf. Although as the comics are very short series, I won't be dropping reviews on here.
Music (well, jazz) is a large part of this series and this is the 'jazz' book. It is very plangent and melancholic, mourning all that has been lost. There is less humour in this book, a more serious tone, but is none the less a very engaging read.
I have read this book quite a few times now and still found it very fresh and I swear I picked up on the odd thing I had not before.
The whole series is a definite recommend but this is one of the better entries, in my opinion.
