Whilst reviewing a graphic novel might be seen as end of year numbers padding, I felt this one was strong enough to warrant a review. I normally only review novella length of longer.
A very strong 4.5 for this.
The art was luscious, the story had pace and rythm. There is a neat reversal going on here where the monsters of Europe meet the monsters of the sub-continent and things do not go as you would expect. A wonderful analogy for the progress of colonialism, told hand in hand with a tale of actual colonialism.
Highly recommended.
