Review of 'Physics of the Future: How Science Will Shape Human Destiny and Our Daily Lives by the Year 2100' on 'Storygraph'
4 stars
I didn't like the constant comparisons to Greek mythology, but overall I enjoyed the book. The book was good for getting the imagination to run. I didn't agree with all the possibilities Kaku presented, but the ideas were interesting. Personally I felt in some ways he both underestimated the growth of technology in some parts as well as overestimated it in others.
I agree with other reviewers in that the title is misleading and the book doesn't deal terribly much with physics. I don't find it much of a big deal since I read the book blurb before purchasing and knew what to expect.
More on AI and transhumanism might have bumped it up to a five star book for me.
