i must be a glutton for punishment. now that we've seen an infant and mother shot, where to go?

the main character's young son is hardening up like the best of them - ready to shoot his own dad if need be, it seems. but finally (on a positive note) the pathetic decisions and leadership of the main character are being called into question. i say i'm done with this gory series and yet i keep coming back for more.
