I am surprised this book was published. It was fairly disappointing compared with his first and that has nothing to do with the number of laughs. First, it comes across as though only half of the book is about life on the rigs and the other half is not all that interesting. I guess that is why I'm giving it 2.5 stars. I also didn't find his rants about how horrible the oil industry is to be convincing, if not ridiculously hypocritical. If he really thinks it to be that evil, then leave the industry already! Spending a quarter of the book winning about yourself with no conclusion at the end doesn't make for a good read. With that said, Paul seems like a good guy and I wish him the best. I certainly hope I don't see a third book come out detailing his struggle to leave the industry.
