I did go back and look in my Kindle copy to see if I had done any annotations, but all the highlights in there were proper nouns and idioms that I wanted to remember because I was about to run a Mistborn Era 2 TTRPG.
I don't have annotations for this one because I read it after my phone died but before I used my 2FA backup code to get back into this account. This will be a theme for the whole rest of my Mistborn reread, including my first read of The Lost Metal. I forgot this was in Arcanum Unbounded, so I spent a bunch of time trying to find it as a standalone, and wound up buying a totally unnecessary additional epub, but then the one I actually read was a cute little hardback edition from the Lawrence Public Library.

Look, I like Spook, and I think he did a lot of growing in this book, but I find it difficult to believe that out of all the survivors of the Final Empire there weren't a couple dozen better choices to lead. I think being the only surviving Mistborn probably had more to do with that than Sazed would like to admit.

I still found Sazed's faith journey a little annoying on this read, but maybe not as much as before. I suspect part of it is how long it seemed to take him to get to what seems to me like the obvious conclusion: the existence of a supreme being is definitionally not provable or disprovable, so if you want to believe in a invisible sky wizard, you can. Maybe it will make you feel better. Other people can make different choices re: invisible sky wizards. (Now a lot of the religions Sazed examined are about interactions with Shards, which are invisible sky wizards that ARE provably real, and not really the ineffable "God Beyond" concept that maps best onto our world, which does complicate things.)

You didn't mention the one about the Hero being tall. And even if there's some linguistic quirk of the ancient Terris language that makes "king" gender neutral, that's a stretch for Vin. In short, Sazed, you are suffering confirmation bias.
