Disappointing after the first two novels. Too much action and not enough plot for me. Past events were glossed over. How did Martin Burke recover from the voodoo possession? Why does no-one care about the massive solar system chamge brought about in Moving Mars? What happened to the inhabitants of Omphalos between Moving Mars and Slant? Omphalos seems empty in this book, unless it's a different Omphalos.
There's lots of sex and porn from the start. In some respects, one scene reminded me of Fairyland by PJ McAuley, except that humans rather than artificial people were converted into sex slaves.
One good thing about this series is that you can read each book on its own. There's usually continuity, but you don't need to worry about missing something.
Green Idaho represents a vision of the future desired by Conservative elements - lots of guns and no oversight.
