Review of 'Doorways in the Sand' on 'Goodreads'

There were some interesting ideas in this book - I was particularly amused by the idea of someone who spends all their time as a student but manages to avoid graduation - but having finished it I still have no idea what the plot was. The publisher describes it as ‘perhaps the most accessible’ of the author’s ‘standalone works’ - if that is the case then I can’t imagine understanding any of the others (the Amber Chronicles are easy to follow but presumably don’t count as ‘standalone’). 3/5 for being easy to read but confusing.
