There are some interesting concepts in this book, and some twists (including a twist within a twist) that I didn’t see coming. It’s also an easy read and rattles on at a decent pace. However, there’s far too much repetitive dialogue - I stopped counting the number of times Cricket grumbled about being called little when I ran out of fingers (and his frequently used retort of where he can be kissed means he sounds like Bender from Futurama… except not as funny).

Summary: if you want clever interpretations on the Three Laws, read Asimov. If you want rude but funny robots, watch Futurama. This book tries to mix both and ends up with the whole being less than the sum of its parts.
