I've has this book for ages, and never really expected to enjoy it, but it has actually been one of the best things I think I've ever read. Fascinating, not only because of the cases, but especially because of the personalities in the Baltimore Homicide Department. For a big tome of non-fiction it is not in any way dry, and reads like a quality piece of crime fiction. Worth picking up even if you're not usually a 'true crime' fan.
