Con artist Moist von Lipwig gets a second chance at life if he'll be the postmaster of Ankh-Morpork's ailing postal service. Along the way he grows and does the "better thing" instead of what would be immediately satisfying.

A very good ending to the Dangerous Visions books.

It was a very long time coming, but well worth the wait. J. Michael Straczynski's intro explains why the book was delayed and provides a clear-eyed but loving epitaph for Harlan Ellison.

Roy Adams reviewed John the Balladeer by Manly Wade Wellman
Appalachian tales with some magic
Interesting tales of Appalachian folk tales and life from the perspective of traveling balladeer John with the silver stringed guitar. The stories were written in the y1950s so to me there is an interesting blend old ways (John walks on his travels) and more modern life (automobiles, railroad and even planes).
