Mort's personality is forced to undergo a rapid growing up. Some of the choices he makes seem a little cold, and some of the tantrums he throws are far too adolescent to be genuine - he seemed to have moved beyond that point earlier, somehow.

Still, I enjoyed it, love the world he's built and will be buying book 3 without hesitation.
