Fantastic, love the Dogs of War stuff. This doesn’t quite pin you to your chair like the first one did but still difficult to put down

Absolutely loved this, although the antagonist may as well have just been called Trump and had done with it. Great to see more from the Dogs of War universe, with some scary ideas of how baking obedience into consciousness would be awful.
A very strong 4.5 for this. Dogs of War was my introduction to Tchaikovsky's work and I rated it very highly. This unexpected (to me) follow on delivers on every front.
What I like in particular about this series as opposed to other stuff of his that I have read (all high quality) is the directness. These books don't faff about with sections of zoological musings which I feel detract (slightly) from the story.
Although this story has a Trump analogue as the antagonist, something I feel that is going to be common for a while, it is appropriate and well done.
Punchy, gritty entertainment of a very high quality. Recommended.
