5 stars

5 stars and yep, I stayed up late to finish it.
This was really just a great book. Right up to the minute with it's take on the intersection of mass surveillance, societal change and protest. The focus on a new protagonist in the series brought a fresh perspective and really highlighted the human costs at the heart of all this.
The protagonist is at turns, snarky, funny, wounded and broken. Yet through all she tries to redeem past mistakes and help the people she cares for. While building and then subverting the tools of mass surveillance, of course.
Highly recommended.
