The season of endings grows darker as civilization fades into the long cold night. Alabaster Tenring – madman, world-crusher, savior – has returned with a mission: to train his successor, Essun, and thus seal the fate of the Stillness forever.

It continues with a lost daughter, found by the enemy.

It continues with the obelisks, and an ancient mystery converging on answers at last.

The Stillness is the wall which stands against the flow of tradition, the spark of hope long buried under the thickening ashfall. And it will not be broken.

I have never read such a complicated series, ever. I have so many questions, and the fandom is not big enough for all the answers.

I mean, Jemisin is one of the best authors we currently have in fantasy/Sci-fi (I am sure there is correct way to title is, but I am too ignorant) . And she gets all the awards, because she deserves them.

But it is a hard read. It is hard to stomach sometimes and you have never any idea what is really going on (pure intent of the author) Jemisin planned and build and planned again and she will probably never depart all the knowledge of her world, because there is no need to, we know enough to understand the story. And isn't just that pure brilliance?

I love Hoa. I want a comic where Essun and Ykka are like:

E&Y: So you are all evil …
