I have never read such a complicated series, ever. I have so many questions, and the fandom is not big enough for all the answers.

I mean, Jemisin is one of the best authors we currently have in fantasy/Sci-fi (I am sure there is correct way to title is, but I am too ignorant) . And she gets all the awards, because she deserves them.

But it is a hard read. It is hard to stomach sometimes and you have never any idea what is really going on (pure intent of the author) Jemisin planned and build and planned again and she will probably never depart all the knowledge of her world, because there is no need to, we know enough to understand the story. And isn't just that pure brilliance?

I love Hoa. I want a comic where Essun and Ykka are like:

E&Y: So you are all evil
H: S o m e of us are evil
E&Y: And you all want humans dead
H: as I said "some" of us think that way
E&Y: So you are all going to hunt us down?
H: S O M E of us want to.
E&Y: But you must know what your people are planning. You are one of them
H: I TOLD YOU, not ALL of us want the same thing
E&Y: So you are all evil?
H: screams in frustration

Well if that is not a good metaphor for real life I don't know either
