"This book contains some stories from my life: the awkward growing-up years, the confusing dating years, the fulfilling work years, and what it was like to be asked to play one of my favorite characters again. Also included: tales of living on a houseboat, meeting guys at awards shows, and that time I was asked to be a butt model. A hint: all three made me seasick. -- Lauren Graham" --

They're were a lot of gimmicks that didn't translate well to a book (scripted phone call with her dad that felt forced because yeah, he's not an actor, a bit about trying to sing but the reader stopping her). There's every chance this gets better later or that someone who follows Lauren Graham would love it, but it was rapid fire and kooky in a way that was almost Lorelai Gilmore but just a note or two off leaving it more hard to follow than whimsical and caffeinated.
