Ride Theory reviewed The Disneyland Encyclopedia by Chris Strodder
Disneyland, A-to-Z
5 stars
I noticed a few errors and omissions (nothing about Lafitteās Anchor; a mixup about the brands Chicken of the Sea and Starkist; some confusion about narrow-gauge trains) but overall, this is a really good A-to-Z look at the park's history. I learned about a lot of minor attractions... well, mostly I learned about minor shops -- I already knew most of the attractions. There are listings for things that were only in the park for a few months. It's got virtually every parade, promotion, snack bar, designer, you name it. Even so, this book was sliding into being outdated even as it was being written, because "Star Wars Land" was being built as this went into its third edition.
The bibliography is going to be a good resource for my future reading.
