The ghost hunting in this series was getting a bit stale and all the hints and foreshadowings of a bigger picture without any apparent progress toward solving these deeper mysteries was getting tiresome, too, so it was very welcome when this volume propelled matters forward a long way. The Big Bad may have been revealed at the end - unless there's another twist in the final volume - which - bring it to me! Bring it to me, now! Oh, there it is! Let's get started.
