Definite 4.5 territory. Unlike its predecessor however this does fall short of 5 stars for me. Mostly because it is a book of parts. Individually brilliant but lacking the narrative thrust of the first book. to tie it all together. There is a lot in this, the financialisation of the economies and the effect of that, maker spaces, an unnecessarily overlong pean to the Burning Man festival and politics and protest. All of that dilutes the story somewhat.
We are in the same territory as Little Brother here but this is a more adult book about how you act instead of react.
If it seems like I am damning this, I am not. It was a fine read, just not as sharp as Little Brother. Definitely recommended though.
