It was entertaining to listen to. I haven't watched SNL nor 30 Rock, so I missed a lot of references, so not all jokes landed with me.

It gives an interesting point of view of the challenges we're facing. Since I've read a lot about effective altruism already, nothing in this book was new to me. That's not on the book, I should have read this many years earlier. The book could easily have been two hours shorter with the same impact.

I was hoping for a surprising and insightful history comparable to Sapiens, but this is more a dry enumeration of science and pseudoscience without intriguing at any moment in time. I found myself often skipping a chapter, checking if the next one would be better. After a few, I skipped the entire first part. When part 2 didn't get better, I dropped the entire book.

I love the topic of jazz music, but didn't learn too much. It's nice to hear some old classics. I was hoping that it would get more technical what makes the different genres all jazz, and what sets them apart, but there is not much of that.

I enjoyed the philosophical reasoning for why we should care about future generations, but I also enjoyed the practical approach the author is taking on what to do to accomplish this.
