reviewed Thunderbirds by Various (Thunderbirds, #01)

Various, John Theydon: Thunderbirds (Paperback, 1990, Titan Books Ltd) 1 star

Pretty poor potboiler

1 star

As much as I love Thunderbirds, this is awful. Stilted dialog, characters leaping to ridiculous conclusions, and a finale that resolves practically nothing. Scott Tracy is attacked, at one point, by a giant mutant goat, an incident that was so random and absurd, it was somewhat enjoyable. Also, the Hood continues his idiotic crime spree -- constantly changing his goals whenever a new, shiny object appears, just like on the TV series.

I'm glad I didn't buy the recently-produced, full-cast Big Finish audio book of this.
