My favourite quote from the first few chapters; “I’m not even tone deaf, that’s the arse-mothering, fuck-nosed, bugger-sucking wank of the thing. I’m not even tone fucking deaf. I’m tone DUMB.” (I do love an eloquent expletive rant from Fry).

Gripping but lacks some detail
3 stars
I love a plot like this, mixing up global crisis with space travel, and the characters lend towards a classic relationship dynamic growing but it feels like some crucial detail is skipped over. Far too many silly typos also suggest minimal editorial review.

Some useful tips on brand voice
3 stars
I’m currently working on a personal side project which extends my portfolio but shares some professional tools I’ve designed recently. As part of that, I want to create content that compliments it so I want to establish my USP and tone of voice, how to stand out from the herd and be more me. I expected more substance and useful takeaways from Meera as I’ve enjoyed previous publications from her but it seemed to shift to the audience focus towards the second half.
