Yep, still love this series. The battle sequence reminds me of a (toned-down) Abercrombie special, with lots of tragic interludes that are (and will be) linked back later on. My regret is that up to the climax it's all "this is 100% on a knife edge, who can say who will win?" and then afterwards "yup it was definitely definitely going to be like this". If I was Garion and got told it was Prophesied after all, I'd be telling people to get fucked.

Mind you, I'm not the Chosen One.
