Got this as part of a Humble Bundle. I've read a few of his other books, but this was a bit different. Mostly set in Calcutta and does not paint a nice picture of the place. Generally not a nice book. Bad things happen all through it. But it was compelling. The ending was ambiguous, but I wasn't totally disappointed.
