Review of 'Singularity Sky' on 'Goodreads'

This is what happens if you say to yourself, "I know! For my debut, I'll write an SF novel that's a giant allegory for the Edinburgh Festival!"

OK, there's more to it than that and it's a page turner. Those familiar with Stross's later works will see many familiar themes here - Cthulhu mythos, the Singularity, absurdities...

Review of 'Singularity Sky' on 'Goodreads'

Weird little book in that the climax happens about six pages after the book starts, then the rest of the book just -goes- as characters hurtle towards inevitable destinations. It's like that scene in Back to the Future where Biff is thrown into a pile of dung, but stretched across 300 pages.
