After reading the Vulture/New Yorker article I have chosen to remove my reviews of this man's content from my accounts. I choose to place this text here because I think it is important to juxtaposition these things. I also don't think that pretending I never read these things is particularly helpful either.
"A Game of You" never was one of my favorite volumes, so it's one that I haven't read since the early 2000s. It was interesting to re-discover it all these years later. It reminded me that this was one of the first times I saw a transgender person represented in fiction.
This is such a great tale and it challenges your notions about what a story is and what is real at every step. The myths become deeper and richer (with Nuala making a cameo appearance), and the ending is just fitting.
