A must read for people who like science fiction and space. It takes place in our solar system about 300 years from now. Humans have started terraforming mars and are living in the belt. A U.N company has found an alien organism in Phoebe, a moon of Satern. The crew of the Rocinante scramble across the solar system to stop the protomolecule from spreading. Meanwhile Detective Miller is trying to find Julie Mao. Is it too late...

Seemed to be more of a filler than anything. The usual characters are mostly absent, but powerful religious people appear instead.
Venus produces a device which it sends to the Outer Solar System that creates wormholes to other devices in other solar systems. Venus also appoints Miller to investigate why the aliens that created it have not been in contact.
Another member of the Mao family tries to regain honour for the family.

In places, this book reminded me of the less-interesting parts of the Family D'Alembert series by EE Doc Smith.

OK that's it! I don't think I can bring myself to read another of these even if it is handed to me for free. I just can't take anymore scientific ineptitude. It's been there from book one where conservation of angular momentum is completely ignored but this book has so many guns being fired in vacuum I lost count. Combustion requires OXYGEN! AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!
