I keep trying, but I don't think Neil Gaiman and I are ever going to fit quite right. I can tell, objectively, that it's imaginative and well written, but it's just way too bleak for me to enjoy reading it.

I liked the atmosphere in this book, liked the idea behind and liked how well fiction and reality are mixed. But in the end, this book seems to go nowhere. The end is just a big pluf, so anticlimatic.
